Gutenberg, a new editor interface for WordPress which is currently in the testing phase. In my opinion, it will be difficult for Gutenberg to gain favorable user recommendations if it takes away the revenue derived from plugins from web design and hosting companies. I predict that Google will look at the speed and popularity of the linking page to determine the likelihood of the link being seen and clicked. Eliminating any links that are unlikely to be clicked due to poor performance will become critical as link patterns are examined. All of this is sure to change the way we acquire links in 2018.
